Fuel Service:

Normally fuel tanks will not be full when the cars are delivered, the tanks are about 1/4 full.

Most vehicles also have a reserve for at least 50 kms.

On workdays during the summer and during daylight hours, this is enough fuel to reach the nearest open petrol station, and the second nearest too.

We recommend you order a tank full if you are arriving: in the wintertime, public holidays, Sundays, evening hours or during the night. This solution is anyway more convenient as you will receive your car with a full tank of fuel, and return it empty.

Aghios Nicolaos: Marina and Katharo Tsivi (1,664 m) - Copyright (c) 2006 Ingo H. Dietrich The current amount for a full tank is listed in the Rates calculation and reservation reservation formset with each group of vehicles.

Besides the cost of a full fuel tank, which is calculated as "tank volume x price per litre", it also includes a modest service charge.

5,00 Euros is for the time of the employee who will have to find an open gas station before he delivers your car to you.

Another 5,00 Euros are for the employee who collects the empty car, and has to find an open gas station immediately.

From time to time there are suggestions to deliver and return the cars with a full tank of petrol.

However there is a hitch to this method, as it requires administrating a secure deposit equivalent to the value of the full tank plus the servicing costs.

It would work either by blocking this amount in your credit card account, or by depositing it in cash money.

This would produce administrative costs which would have to be added to the rental rates in general.

The fuel service on request is the more intelligent solution.
